Zisis, Fish in a Cone

An Athens Experts Choice!

Monastiraki / Food & Beverage / Seafood / Zisis, Fish in a Cone

If you're tired of hastily consuming junk food or not a fan of meat, a new street food spot on Agia Eirini Square offers a seafood alternative. Its owner, Zisis Papazisis, inherited a passion for cooking and seafood from his grandfather. He ingeniously decided to serve fish in cones, providing Athenians with an easy and healthy option for fast food. The place's placemats narrate the story of Zisis' grandparents, who ran a gastronomic hub in Volos, creating unique nights with music for their loyal customers. Inspired by his childhood memories and concerned about unhealthy diets in big cities, Zisis brought his grandfather's tactics to Athens. Located amidst fabric stores, his establishment boasts a modern, minimalist setting where customers can enjoy their meal with ouzo or tsipouro. The menu offers a variety of seafood delicacies, including stuffed calamari, seafood pasta, and crispy fish cones with tangy sauces.
