Thision Open Air Cinema

Cine Thisio, the oldest cinema in Athens, has been operating since 1935, except during WW2. Managed by the Maniakis family since 1980, it's a quaint paradise in the historic center, right beneath the Acropolis. The family ensures the cinema is well-maintained, green, and harmonious with its surroundings. They carefully select classic and current movies, providing an exceptional experience. Overlooking the illuminated Acropolis, guests can enjoy homemade sweet sour cherries, handmade liquor, or ice-cold sour cherry juice. For savory options, there are fresh cheese pies, hot dogs, and traditional tsipouro. The cinema bar offers a variety of refreshments to enjoy while seated comfortably, soaking in the unique atmosphere.
