This restaurant offers a delightful surprise with its wide variety of cheeses from all over Greece, as well as the presence of many local, unique products throughout the menu. It prioritizes local ingredients that highlight the country's productive and gastronomic heritage. The menu eschews traditional categories like appetizers, mains, or sides, instead embracing the ethos of meze, encouraging shared tasting experiences. While some heavier options like grilled feta with sausage and pastrami or pork stew with leeks may seem daunting, they are balanced by daily specials dominated by seafood, fish, and seasonal ingredients. Among the highlights are mushrooms sautéed with thyme, Karpathian pasta with spinach, confit cherry tomatoes and Nivato cheese, and meatballs flavored with ouzo and mint. The restaurant also serves some of the best fried potatoes, crispy, freshly fried, and perfectly seasoned. Both desserts, a chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream and deconstructed galaktoboureko with light semolina cream and crispy filo pastry, are indulgent and refreshing.
